We are a Christian church, evangelical in faith, seeking to make and be disciples of Jesus Christ.

  • The Bible is the inerrant Word of God, revealing our creation, fall, and redemption
  • Our preaching explains every word of Scripture and applies it to our lives
  • The ancient Church best summarized our faith in the Apostles’ and the Nicene Creeds

We are a Reformed church, covenantal in theology and practice

  • We believe and confess the Word of God as the Reformers of the 16th century did (e.g. Three Forms of Unity, Westminster  Standards)
  • We include children of Christian parents in baptism and weekly communion, training them by covenant words, signs and meals to truly and fully trust in God their Savior, to appropriate for themselves His sure Word(s) of promise to them in the gospel, living in obedient faith, hope, and love.
  • We are a member of the Covenant Presbyterian Church

We are a family-affirming church, reinforcing Biblical family authority

  • We affirm God’s blessing-producing Biblical roles and responsibilities for men and women in/under Christ.
  • We worship together as families rather than having a separate children’s program during the service of worship. Note: We do have a nursing mother’s room for ladies to nurse babies during worship.
  • We encourage and assist parents so their little ones can integrate and participate in the worship of God with the family of God.

We are a liturgical church, with a traditional covenantal style of worship. Every Lord’s Day…

  • We come in response to God’s call to worship each Lord’s Day.
  • We confess our sins to God and are assured of His pardon and cleansing by Jesus’ blood, in the sure authority of Jesus’ name.
  • We consecrate ourselves to God as we hear God’s Word read and preached, as we give God our tithes and offerings, as we lift up prayers of supplication and intercession, and as we joyfully and exuberantly sing the Psalms, as well as hymns and spiritual songs.
  • We commune with God at the Lord’s Table, assured of His peace toward us and sharing His peace with one another.
  • We receive and respond to God’s commission for us to go forth in His name to glorify Him among neighbors and nations.

We are a ministering church:

  • We equip God’s people for works of ministry
  • We build up God’s people to abide and grow in conformity to Christ, to bear good fruit for the blessing of neighbors and nations.
  • We proclaim the gospel of our Lord, Jesus Christ, to the people of Peoria city and county by our words and deeds in His name.
  • We pursue increasing unity in the Holy Spirit, a “generous orthodoxy”, among faithful, Bible-believing, confessional/confessing local churches, especially here in our city and county.
